madrid is a nice city but I didn't liked that much... it just doesn't do it for me!

-My hotel was quite bad. I could feel the springs on the mattress, the toilet leaked and the walls were paper thin. Meaning that I had to hear all the strange noise from the couple next door... not good, specially when you're alone!
The breakfast was even worse. Lidl bread, and canned fruit... After two days, I just quit...

- In front of the hotel there was a "cantina" for the homeless.

-On sunday, all the stores are closed (except el corte inglés and fnac) but the commercial streets are still packed with people.

- people at starbucks and haggen-dazs were really nice :)

- I walked a lot... really a lot...

- of course, as always, I ended up in a street with sex shops and hookers...

- I definitely hate spanish language

- Why do they only have lunch at 3 in the afternoon?? I almost starved in the first day...

- spanish are obsessed with dry fruits and snacks

- I didn't see one single goth

-I didn't shop because the stores are the same as in portugal

- I went to Prado, thyssen- bornemisza and reina sofia museums and became a fan of audio-guide

- finally saw a miró, a mondrian and a pollock live :) and of course, the guernica...

- discovered the kikkerland bots and bought sparklz

- could resist to fnac sales, and finally bought monster theater series from dkillerpand.. I'm a fan!

now i'm back in lisbon, and back to real work...

and still counting the days to wgt :) and hoping the flights prices will go down...

- you can get true greek ioghurt at a regular supermarket :D
- the streets are really clean and you can't see any cigarretes on the floor
- internet-shops are depressing everywhere
- in most shops people are really friendly, and do try to understand you... if no verbal communication is possible, signaling usually does it... got a great donner kebab like that :)
- cat food is the same price as in portiugal (yes, i have nothing to do so I just walk around the shops :P)
- Today everyone left the lab before 4 p.m. I have to implement this rule when I return...
- there are really a lot of emos over here...
- today I found the local goth shop but ir was closed... have to check it again :)
- still don't understand german...

tomorrow i'm going to heidelberg, and probably post pictures after that...

so...
here I am at a strange hotel room, in a strange city...

durante 15 dias vou estar em darmstadt, uma cidadezita a 30 km de frankfurt.
a chegada ao hotel foi um bocado atribulada tendo em conta que me deram um quarto que não tinha sido limpo *nojo*.
para além disso, estou a pagar (ou melhor, o ist está a pagar) 75 euros/noite por um quarto que fica quase numa cave e para se aqui chegar tem de se passar um hall transformado em arrecadação... its just weird!

anyway, a cidade é simpática e tem uma praça (Luisenplatz) que está sempre a abarrotar de gente. Incluindo, punks com os inevitáveis cãezinhos e aqueles jovens estranhos tipo emos. Mas enfim, é estranho andar pela rua e não fazer a mínima ideia do que é as pessoas estão a falar... pior, não perceber uma palavra do rótulo dos alimentos, not good!!!
desta vez não me apetece nada estar aqui... e ainda por cima o único canal que percebo é a cnn! *grunf*

pontos positivos, a net funciona muito bem e vai dar pra ir a hamburgo visitar uma tal miss von coffin :P
